BTEC Sport SpecificationThe Course
Our Sports specialism at Sixth Form provides students with a recognised qualification for the Sports industry, equivalent to two or three A-levels. Sixth Form students receive up to 21 hours of contact time a week and opportunties to train offsite with our Academy of Sport providers.
Our Academy of Sport combines the best of focused, vocational learning with excellent academic achievement to equip students with the diverse range of skills required in these highly competitive sporting sectors. Working in partnership with external coaches and clubs, our Sport Specialism provides learners with a comprehensive support network, in order to form and fulfil a successful dual career.

In addition to our BTEC qualification, our Post 16 students have full access to our Sports training programme, this includes non-curriculum based vocational training Sport.
As part of their Sport studies, students will have access to additional opportunities each year, both at LEAF Studio and further afield.
