Young Carers Support
A young carer is a child or young person under the age of 18 who helps look after someone in their family, or a friend, who is ill, disabled, living with a physical or mental health condition or who misuses substances. A young adult carer is a young person aged 18-25 who cares, unpaid, for someone who may be ill, disabled, living with a physical or mental health condition or misusing drugs or alcohol. Many young people have caring responsibilities and may not realise that they are young carers.
Leaf Studio works with MYTIME Young Carers Charity who offer young carers additional support, opportunities, guidance and a chance to make new friends. MYTIME Young Carers
Please speak to the pastoral team; Mrs Bellot or Mrs Kempton for more information or support.

NSCPP - Clubs and Sports advice
The NSPCC has recently updated its guidance for parents and carers on how to make sure your children are safe in clubs, sports and other activities. There is a particularly important reference to private tutors with further information about the references and vetting checks you should request.
